Yolanda Beatriz Salas, known affectionately as “Yoly,” was born on December 27, 1946, and passed away peacefully in Brea, California. A longtime resident of the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, Yoly lived a quiet but meaningful life shaped by curiosity, independence, and a love of the arts and nature.

A gifted pianist, she found joy in music and often shared her talent with friends and family. In her younger years, Yoly’s adventurous spirit took her traveling through Europe with her sister Gloria. She was also an active member of the Sierra Club, reflecting her lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and environmental stewardship.

Though she never married or had children, Yoly created her own path—living true to herself and leaving behind memories of resilience, independence, and grace.

She will be remembered with love by her extended family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
