Always full of surprises, we are saddened to announce that Andre Stanley
Belcher, age 57, of Los Angeles, CA. passed away in his home Friday, October
23, 2026.
Andre was born in Harbor City, California on Sunday, August 31, 1969, to
James Stanley Belcher and Peggy Jeanette Belcher; the second of fraternal twin
boys born that day.
He was raised in Inglewood, California where he attended Daniel Freeman
Elementary, St. John Chrysostom School, he spent one year at Verbum Dei High
School before transferring and graduating from Inglewood High School in
1987.
Andre lived a life dedicated to his truth. Forever the life of a party, he refused to
live by anyone’s rules but his own. He had an animated and creative mind.
Constantly reinventing himself along with an inner drive to be original. Andre's
passions were as diverse and colorful as his personality. Very much a socialite
as he was always outside at local hotspots and events in & around the Los
Angeles area. Andre was enthusiastic about music, drawing, sketching,
technology, media (television and radio), fashion, and in recent years he
became more involved with photography and video. Always on a quest to
master everything he did, he prodded himself on being a jack of all trades.
Andre's natural charisma, jokes, and storytelling made him a beloved friend to
all. His mischievous spirit and boundless energy were cherished by those who
knew him best. Although Andre never married nor fathered any children,
lifelong friends are something that he cherished the most. Whenever a friend
reached out to ask for assistance, he always found the time for his friends, he
was never too busy. He deeply valued the friendships he had developed over the
years, maintaining close ties with childhood friends, former classmates for
decades and with those who meant the most to him.
Andre is proceeded in death by his birth parents James Belcher (2009) and
Peggy Belcher-Dixon (2023) and Stepfather Walter D. Dixon (2009). He is
survived by his fraternal twin brother Antone Belcher, half-sister Jennifer
Belcher, Stepbrothers Al Dixon (wife Lia), Dave Dixon (wife Vernelle), nephews
Quintin Belcher, Malcom Dixon, nieces Alexandria Dixon, Imani Dixon and
Danielle Dixon, as well as leaving behind a host of lifelong friends he met while
living in Inglewood as a child and as a young adult.
Andre's family and friends are comforted by the countless memories of joy and
laughter he leaves behind; we are pleased to know that he can finally rest in
peace. Though he is no longer with us, Andre's legacy lives in the hearts of all
who were fortunate enough to know him.
