Richard H. Gleason passed away in Downey, CA on 3/22/2025 at the age of 72. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Richard was born March 6th, 1953 along with his twin brother Robert. He married Lori Johnson on September 20, 1975 and has 4 children. Richard fell in love with fishing at a very young age. He would go on to fish thousands of times on his own boat with friends and family members. The day before he passed, his last full day on earth, Richard spent fishing on his boat with his Grandsons, doing what he loved. He also loved Scouting and as Assistant Scout Master with the help of Dave Dwelley assisted many boys in achieving Eagle Scout, including his son, Chad. He also helped neighbors, friends, and family by fixing & repairing many home & car issues.

Richard is survived by his wife, Lori of almost 50 years, his four children Chad (Hitomi), Jeff (Luz), Cari & Daniel, 5 grandchildren Michael, Natalie, Eli, Bryce & Kento. We will miss his sense of humor, love of Fishing and his ability to fix almost anything. For Now, He has Gone Fishing! “Till we Meet again in the Ocean in the Sky”. You may visit with the family at the Viewing to be held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 10:00am and the Service at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10511 Paramount Blvd, Downey, CA 90241. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601 (Gate 1)
