Mercedes Hernandez, beloved mother to Jose, Nancy & Analia passed away on June 27, 2024. Mercedes was born in San Salvador on November 11, 1953. She was the 2nd oldest of 11 brothers and sisters. Mercedes came to the U.S. right after high school at the age of 17 years old. She was a grandmother to 12 beautiful grandchildren. Mercedes was known for her kind heart and lively personality. She was the life of the party wherever she went. Our mother was an inspiring soul, always there for all who came to her with troubles. She was a true “Guerrillera” always seeking justice for those that treated others unfairly. Her home was always open to everyone. She was the most humble, compassionate person I know. Even on her dark days, her strength and resilience inspired many. We invite all her friends & family to sing one last song with her and say a final goodbye on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
